Overview
The PONY Select Presidential League is a competitive developmental baseball league for
pre-formed Select teams ages 8U–14U. Sanctioned by PONY International Baseball & Softball, it
bridges recreational baseball and higher levels of tournament competition through professional
instruction, player development, coach education, and meaningful competition.
The Presidential Pathway
Recreation & All-Stars → PONY Select Presidential League → Invitation-Only Presidential
Showcase Camp → BRG Presidential Cup AAA/Major Tournament Competition → PONY Select
All-Stars & PONY Select World Series.
Player & Coach Development
Teams receive professional instruction, position-specific training, BRG Skills Camps, exclusive
batting practice events, coach education, and opportunities for player advancement through
showcase and national referral programs.
League Format
Pre-formed Select teams (8U–14U) compete separately from recreational divisions. Each team receives 10
guaranteed regular-season games, one game per week, an end-of-season championship tournament, and qualified PONY-certified umpires.
Games begin September 19.
Practice Format
Games + Practices teams receive one weekly practice consisting of 90 minutes of field instruction
and 60 minutes of cage time (approximately 2.5 hours total), with additional field time available
when scheduling permits.
Registration Fees
Games + Practices: 8U – $2,200/team; 9U–14U – $2,500/team
Games Only: 8U – $1,500/team; 9U–14U – $1,800/team
Fees are based on a roster of up to 13 players.
Registration Includes
Regular season league play, championship tournament, BRG development resources, Presidential Showcase eligibility, PONY Select participation, and All-Star eligibility.
Uniforms are not included.
Residency Requirements
Teams with 75% or greater Lake Elsinore residency receive registration priority. Teams with 66–74% residency may be accepted based on league needs. Teams below 66% residency may qualify for the Games-Only division.
Dual Registration
Players may participate in both EVR PONY Recreational and Presidential League divisions if
properly registered, recreational obligations are prioritized, pitch-count rules are followed, and only
one team is represented for All-Star eligibility.
PONY Select All-Stars
The top Select team advances as the official PONY Select All-Star Team. An additional All-League
Team may also be selected. Participating teams represent EVR PONY in the PONY Select World
Series. Postseason tournament fees, travel, and uniforms are the responsibility of participating
teams.
